"August 14, 2021, summer time - all eyes of the world will be on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. And I cannot wait, repeat, cannot wait, to smash Anthony Joshua on the biggest stage of all time."

Fury became a potential foe for the IBF, WBA and WBO titles champion after his brutal win over Deontay Wilder in February 2020 to capture the WBC title.

Meanwhile, Joshua was able to reclaim his titles from Andy Ruiz Jr in December 2019 after beating the American through a unanimous decision.

A proposed fight against Agit Kabayel in December was cancelled - meaning Fury has not fought in more than 12 months since stopping Wilder in Las Vegas according to Sky Sports.

Legit.ng previously reported that the heavyweight unification bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has been scheduled to take place this summer.

A rematch worth £500million is billed to take place in London later in the year as the world is set for a blockbuster boxing showdown.

Negotiations between the two parties had gone on for weeks, with boxing promoter Eddie Hearn also admitting that the self-imposed deadlines were missed. But it looks like it is finally happening with July 24 date officially set, and at most, early August.
