Ole Solskjaer who is the gaffer of Manchester United has congratulated Pep Guardiola and his wards at Manchester City for winning the 2020/21 Premier League title.

The Citizens were confirmed champions on Tuesday night, May 11, thanks to Leicester City's win over Manchester United which gave Pep Guardiola and his players the title for the third time.

With three games to end the current Premier League campaign, Ole Solskjaer and his men at Old Trafford are 10 points behind Manchester City.

According to the report on UK Sun and the video spotted on Football Daily, Pep Guardiola made it clear that his wards will also fight for the League title next season.

"First of all congratulations to Manchester City for winning the league, very worthy champions, we've got to hold our hands up.
"That is where we want to be. We are not there yet, they have put the bar where it is and it's up to us now to take the next step.
"That's a long process, we know what we want to do. Of course, this is not the position we want to be in.
"But the sensible answer is that we pushed City to the last 10, 12 days of the season.''

Leicester City are currently occupying third position on the Premier League table and have the chance to get Champions League ticket.

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has also been superb this season for Leicester City.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester City were crowned champions of the Premier League with the help of Leicester City defeating Man United at Old Trafford by 2-1.

The Foxes stunned played against a second-string United side and still worked hard to get the result at the Theatre of Dreams.

A goal apiece from teenager Luke Thomas and Caglar Soyuncu earned the King Power outfit vital three points and a massive boost to their Champions League qualification for next season.

Leicester started the game brightly as Youri Tielemans made a darting run down the right before crossing to Thomas who produced an emphatic volley to make it 1-0 after ten minutes played.

The Red Devils got back into the game six minutes later with a brilliant control of the ball from Mason Greenwood who shot with his weaker right foot to make it 1-1.
