Tears as Bandits kill retired Nigerian soldier, wife, daughter-in-law

- A recent report indicates that attacks by bandits have continued in some communities in Kaduna state

An attack by armed bandits in Golkofa community, Jama’a local government area of Kaduna state has led to the death of three people.

The Nation reports that a retired Army Sergeant, Christopher Madaki, his wife and daughter-in-law were victims of the attack that took place on Saturday night, May 8.

Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna commissioner for internal security and home affairs, confirmed the attack.

According to him, the ex-soldier’s son, Clement Madaki, survived the attack with injuries inflicted on him by the assailants, The Cable added.

The commissioner went on to note that bandits invaded the home of Madaki who is a scribe to a Ward Head at Golkofa.

The deceased was shot dead along with his wife, Mary Christopher Madaki, and his son’s wife, Alice Musa.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that bandits have revealed the reasons why they killed five innocent students from Greenfield University in Kaduna state.

According to the criminals, the students were killed to show the government’s failure.

The students were abducted during an attack on the private academic institution located along the Kaduna–Abuja highway in Chikun local government area of the state on the night of Tuesday, April 20.

Barely three days after the kidnapping bandits first killed 3 before two more victims were sent to their early grave by their abductors.

In a related development, armed bandits killed eight people in Chukun local government area of Kaduna state.

A medical doctor, Zakariah Dogo Yaro of the Kaduna state Ministry of Health was among casualties of the incident which happened on Sunday morning, April 25.

Some church members were also abducted by the bandits while several sustained injuries.
