President Buhari Reacts to the Sudden Death of His Former Minister

President Muhammadu Buhari says he is saddened over the death of Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan, who served as the minister of women affairs and social development during his first term in office.

The Nigerian leader in a statement via Facebook on Friday, May 7, through his media aide, Garba Shehu, said the death of the politician is a huge loss to the country.
He said:
“The demise of the notable politician, Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan has left many saddened. Both in office and out of office, her concern for the education of the girl child, especially those of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, who were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists, shone through.''

Buhari expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the late minister, popularly known as Mama Taraba.
In another report, the president has conveyed his condolences to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), over the death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.
Buhari’s condolence message was contained in a tweet via his official Twitter handle on Thursday, May 6.
The president prayed for God to comfort the grieving family and friends of the late pastor. He also asked for the God Almighty will grant the departed rest.
Meanwhile, one of Pastor Enoch Adeboye's sons, Leke Adeboye, has penned a tribute to his late brother, Dare Adeboye.
In a Facebook post, Leke said his brother's fist was still clenched as if he was holding a microphone.
Leke, who will be celebrating his birthday on May 20, said Pastor Dare would have sent him a cash gift as a little brother and he would have done the same thing on June 9, the deceased's birthday.
He appreciated the late pastor for being his brother and for all the experiences they shared together.
