In a bid to bolster their squad ahead of the coming season, Chelsea are preparing to launch bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, Daily Star reports.

With the Blues hunting for a new centre-forward this summer, Lewandowski has now joined Erling Haaland on top of their target list.

It was gathered that the Stamford Bridge side could be forced to cough up at least £130million if they are serious about Haaland as Borussia Dortmund have set his price.

Chelsea are also looking at Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero and even Brentford's Ivan Toney linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.

But it now seems they are set to look at Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski instead, according to ESPN.

The Polish star still has another two years to run on his contract at the Allianz Arena, but it seems he could be tempted to move.

Bayern will apparently demand £60million for Lewandowski, who is also being watched by Manchester City.

Chelsea forked out £250million on new talent last summer, including attackers Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.

Meanwhile, John Terry has paid tribute to Mason Mount for the youngster's role in Chelsea's Champions League triumph over Real Madrid.

The Blues staged a masterclass against the La Liga giants during the second leg of their semi-final fixture at Stamford Bridge to seal qualification for the final of the competition.

The pair of Mason Mount and Timo Werner scored a goal each during the Wednesday, May 5, clash to send Thomas Tuchel's side to Istanbul on a 3-1 goal aggregate.

However, it appeared as though it was Mount who had impressed him most as the Blues legend uploaded a touching photo of the midfielder when he was playing for the club's junior sides.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian star Kelechi Iheanacho maintained his prolific goal-scoring form after scoring in Leicester City's 4-2 defeat to Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium on Friday, May 7.

The Foxes' quest to finish in the Champions League position suffered a major setback as they could be pushed away from the third position if Chelsea end up beating Man City this weekend.

Callum Wilson, Arsenal loanee Joe Willock, and Paul Dummett were the heroes for the Magpies who claimed maximum points after the game.
