Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is ready for the Nigeria Professional Football League challenge as he continues to dazzle with his new Kano Pillars team.

Musa who left Saudi Arabian outfit last year signed a temporary contract with Pillars, his former club, until the end of the season as he continues his search for another club abroad.

He scored 18 goals in 25 matches during his first stint with the club between 2009 and 2012, but has now urged fans to turn out en masse to support the league.

The second stanza of the 2020/21 season will start on May 9, and Kwara United lead the campaign halfway through the season with 36 points after 19 matches with Kano Pillars and Akwa United in second and third position respectively.

Musa is expected to make his return-debut for Pillars on May 5 when the Sai Masu Gida welcome Enyimba and he was seen in a footage displaying his skills ahead of his tie.

He posted a clip on his Instagram handle showing how he rifled a penalty kick into the net during training as his teammates applauded.

The Super Eagles captain on the day of his unveiling was handed the No.7 shirt but the 28-year-old wore a No.9 while he was in training with Pillars.

Meanwhile, he will not be getting paid at Kano Pillars, according to the Nigerian Professional League chairman Shehu Dikko.

Dikko revealed that Musa was not concerned about what he will be earning with his former team but giving back to them ten years after he was away.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen grabbed his eight goal of the season following Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari in the Serie A on Sunday, May 2 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The former Lille of France striker who struggled at the start of the season is beginning to make impact for his side after he was handed his 12th start in the Italian topflight.

He seized the opportunity to get a goal before he was forced out of the tie after he was injured in the second half.
