Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has taken over from Jose Mourinho and Luiz Felipe Scolari as the first manager to claim more clean sheets in the Premier League.

The Blues have recorded 11 clean sheets under the German boss who only arrived at the club at the end of January after the sacking of Frank Lampard.

His appointment has had an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge, guiding the club back to the top four as well as the semi-finals of the Champions League.

His side's 2-0 weekend win over Fulham was his 11th shutout from 15 matches, with his wards doing just enough to keep Fulham at bay.

No manager in the history of the English top-flight has managed as many clean sheets as Tuchel in their respective debut spells in English football.

Mourinho and Scolari have been holding the record for most clean sheets kept in their EPL bow, with the legendary managers guiding their sides to 10 of them from 15 matches.

Both Timo Werner and Kai Havertz played a pivotal part in the history-making tie vs Fulham as the pair combined perfectly to down the relegation-threatened side.

Werner set up his countryman for the opener inside 10 minutes before assisting for the second shortly after the break.

The win cemented Chelsea's place in the top four as they now have a 6-point cushion over fifth-placed West Ham United with four matches left to end the season.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea posted another superb performance at Stamford Bridge following a 2-0 win over London rivals Fulham.

Kai Havertz was the star of the show as he scored a brace to help the Blues continue their impressive form from their midweek Champions League draw away at Real Madrid.

Thomas Tuchel's men set the tone in the opening minutes of the game with their attacking style of play.
