The spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry (AMEN), Father Mbaka, has been a trending topic following a recent revelation about him.

It all started when the fiery cleric called for the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari if he fails to resign over the rising insecurity across the nation.

Mbaka who supported Buhari during the 2015 presidential elections made it very clear that he was not happy with the current administration as he accused the president of “maintaining grave silence” despite the widespread killings in Nigeria.

In a surprising twist, the presidency replied and opened a can of worms about the man of God.

Garba Shehu, a presidential spokesperson, in a statement via Facebook on Friday, April 30, claimed the cleric once demanded contracts as compensation for supporting Buhari two times to win the presidency.

According to Shehu, Buhari refused and that was why Mbaka made a u-turn and is now attacking the current government.

This revelation came as a surprise to some Nigerians. While some are of the opinion that the government is only trying the tarnish the image of the cleric, others have described Mbaka as a hustler.

Meanwhile, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned Mbaka against making statements that could cause instability in the country.

The party on Friday, April 30, in Abuja, threatened to expose the priest before the Vatican and Pope if he does not concentrate on his spiritual calling and desist from speaking like a politician.
