The England striker admitted that individual honours was always nice but also emphasized his desire to start winning silverware.

"Individual awards are great - they are fantastic achievements," Kane told Sky Sports.

Under Jose Mourinho this season, Kane has been in typical superb form, scoring 31 goals in 44 appearances.

His contract at Spurs runs until 2024 but the striker has been consistently linked with a move away from North London.

"When I look back at the end of my career, these are the things I will go over and take in more but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies.
"It is bittersweet. I would rather be winning team trophies and this one but it is what it is,” he went on.

Defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final meant Spurs wait for a trophy is set to go on well beyond 13 years.

Tottenham are in a frantic fight for Champions League qualification but they currently lie 7th on the log, five points adrift of Chelsea in fourth place with only five games of the season left to play.

Kane is expected to tell Spurs he wants to leave if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, but he will not make a decision until after the Euros, where he will captain England.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that emotions got the better of Heung-Min Son on the evening of Sunday, April 25, after Tottenham Hotspur lost the EFL Cup final to Man City at Wembley Stadium.

Spurs were led by Ryan Mason who was appointed as an interim manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked.

However, Mason, who is also a former Spurs player was unable to guide the club to victory as the north London side fell to City.
