Real settled for a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the first leg of their semi-final meeting played on Tuesday, April 27, at Angelo Di Stefano Stadium.

The result left the La Liga giants with a mountainous task in their effort to reach the finals as they will have to better their scoring during the second leg to be played at Stamford Bridge.

Christian Pulisic scored Chelsea's crucial away goal before Karim Benzema restored parity for the home side in the 29th minute.

The tie saw Hazard make an appearance against his former side after he came on as a substitute in the second half.

However, the Belgian, who has struggled with injuries since leaving Chelsea was unable to steer Real to victory as both teams shared the spoils.

The winger has now said he is still relishing the chance to face the Blues as he looks to help his side reach the finals.

Metro UK quoted him saying.

"It’s always good to play against friends. I have a couple of friends over there but now I’m a Real Madrid player.
"I just want to win. It doesn’t matter if it is against Chelsea or another team, I just want to win."

Speaking on his slow start to life at Madrid, Hazard admitted injuries had taken a huge toll on his form, but he is glad to be back in action and now working on his way to full recovery.

"I feel in better condition, my body’s better, so I’m just happy I can play again," he noted.

Should Real get past Chelsea, they will face the winner between Man City and Paris Saint-Germain in the finals.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Karim Benzema equalized for Real Madrid during their Champions League first leg semi-final clash against Chelsea but Spanish media and fans believe there was a foul in the build-up.

They claim Carlos Casemiro's fouled Cesar Azpilicueta in his initial header where he climbed above the Blues captain before it got to Eder Militao and finally Benzema.
