The president made the request for relocation during a meeting with US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken.

According to Sani, Buhari's invitation for AFRICOM’s relocation to Africa is an open invitation for the recolonisation of the continent.

The former lawmaker said other foreign players will follow suit leading to the military balkanisation of the continent.

In another report, Shehu Sani came up with a grand security plan that will overcome and completely flush out bandits and their influence in the northern part of Nigeria.

Legit.ng reported that the outspoken PDP member called on stakeholders in the region to set up an intelligence-gathering unit led by an experienced former military officer.

Sani suggested that the committee should consist of security experts and retired operatives to serve as a backup. The former senator noted that this could serve as a good alternative to a security network which northern leaders seem not to be ready to establish.
