Chelsea managed a crucial away goal as the game ended in a 1-1 stalemate but the Blues will feel like they should have won the game after missing a number of good chances.

After the game, Fabregas, who played with Kante for some years in Chelsea colors, hailed the Frenchman, saying:

"N'golo has always been a big-game player. Never doubt him. He plays for 2."

Fans certainly agreed with the Spaniard’s sentiments and some were stupefied by Kante’s energy throughout the game.

Kante is known for his incredible ability to break up opposition’s play in midfield and was deployed to do just that by Thomas Tuchel at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.

This isn’t the first time Fabregas is expressing his admiration for Kante. In 2017, when the two were teammates, Fabregas broke down Kante’s style of play, saying:

“Now N'Golo is becoming famous for chasing around and making tackles that recover the ball and end up in goals, but he does other things very well.
"But because this is now his reputation, people just look into this and they don't look to see if he does something else. I think we are winners as a group. We hate losing but every manager is the leader of the team and he is like that too. So it makes us show it in a more positive way."

Chelsea will take a slight advantage at home in the return leg as Christian Pulisic’s opener gave Tuchel’s side a crucial away goal.

If the Blues advance to the final, they will face either Paris Saint Germain or Manchester City, who play on Wednesday, April 28 in their semi-final first leg at the at Parc des Princes.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Thiago Silva's wife, Isabelle has blamed Chelsea forward Timo Werner for the Blues' 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal clash.

The German forward had a chance to double his side's lead after Christian Pulisic opened the scoring in the 14th minute but he missed the sitter.

His first miss was when he fired his shot straight into Thibaut Courtois from close range and later in the game, his effort went wide when he had better options.
