No President Would Want His Country to be in Chaos, Tinubu Backs Buhari on Insecurity

As Nigeria continues to battle insecurity, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has defended President Muhammadu Buhari's fight against it.

According to Tinubu, all nations would go through these curves and difficult times, Punch reports.

The former Lagos state governor disclosed this in an interview with State House correspondents shortly after he met with the president in Abuja.

Going further, he added that there is no president anywhere in the world who would want to see bandits and criminals destabilise his country.

Tinubu consequently called for Nigerians' understanding and cooperation in navigating the delicate period, Guardian Newspaper added.

He added that no leader would also want his country fractured by tribalism, religious differences and all that.

In another development, ahead of the 2023 election, more supporters of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are drumming support for his presidential bid.

Aminu Suleiman, the director-general of the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), said the north will prefer Tinubu to succeed President Buhari.

Suleiman who made the statement during a meeting of the organisation said this is because the All Progressives Congress is well accepted in the north, adding that Tinubu has what it takes to lead the country.

Meanwhile, Senator Remi Tinubu on Tuesday, April 27, tackled her colleague, Senator Smart Adeyemi over his comments concerning the mounting insecurity problems in Nigeria.

Remi is the wife of APC national leader, Tinubu, and she represents Lagos Central senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate.

Adeyemi, on the other hand, is a former national president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and the senator representing Kogi West senatorial district in the Senate.
