Speaking with Legit.ng the young entrepreneur said she became a baker because she needed financial stability

In her words:

“First, I was at a phase in my life where I needed financial stability and a source of income. I was still in school and I had so much free time to myself I was wasting doing nothing. There was a year I also paid a baker to make my birthday cake and I wasn’t pleased with what was delivered to me. I was really pissed and asked “what’s really hard about mixing butter and sugar together that this baker couldn’t get right? I really want to know” Next thing, I picked myself up and made enquiry from few bakers what their fees for training was like, so I paid and enrolled. The rest is history today.”

The young lady said baking is lucrative but tedious, adding that anyone interested in it should have passion for it.

In her words:

“It’s a lucrative business if you know your onions, the zeal and passion is the fuel that keeps you going when things get tough because baking is very very very tedious.”

Asked whether she would expand her business in Nigeria or leave the shores of the country for greener pastures like many youths of the country, she said she would choose the former.

She submitted:

“I’ll expand the business here in Nigeria after traveling abroad to learn a whole lot from great bakers over there.”
