According to him, it is unreasonable for the government to allow a person with the issues around the embattled minister to remain in its cabinet.

Speaking on calls for Pantami's resignation, the governor also faulted the continued stay of the minister as a member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

He maintained that even though Pantami has renounced the comments it was wrong to allow him to continue with his duties.

Wike is of the opinion that the minister ought to have resigned but the government does not care.
