Pogba's deal with United is set to expire in June next year after the Red Devils triggered a one-year extension in his deal back in October.

However, SunSport reports the Manchester club want him either on new terms or cash in on him this summer.

It is understood Fernandes keeping close tabs on Pogba's situation and depending on how it unfolds, it could as well determine his future at Old Trafford.

United are said to have approached Fernandes over a new deal in March that could see the midfielder's earnings doubled to £200,000-a-week over a five-year period.

However, SunSport adds the 26-year-old was non-committal to the talks at the time until he saw United's ambition in the transfer market this summer.

And now, he is reportedly keen to see Pogba commit his future before he commits his own as the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plots to win the Premier League title next season.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Pogba is believed to be more settled at United now than he has been in the last two years as he believes the Red Devils at headed in the right direction.

After sealing a third-place finish last season, United have shown significant progress this term as they are currently placed second behind rivals, Man City.

Earlier in the season, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola courted controversy after he claimed the midfielder is unhappy at Man United, with his sentiments suggesting the Frenchman could seek a move away.

The World Cup-winning star has previously attracted interest from Real Madrid and former club, Juventus.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how English and Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop was hailed by Portugal international and club's teammate Bruno Fernandes after signing new deal.

Bishop Nathan actually joined the Red Devils from Southend in January 2020 and has already caught the eye of Old Trafford coaching crew under Ole Solskjaer.

Manchester United have handed the English goalkeeper improved terms in a contract which runs until 2023 with the option to extend for another year.
