Thomas Tuchel has cautioned his Chelsea stars against laxity following their FA Cup semi-final win over Man City on Saturday, April 17.

Tuchel guided the Blues to a 1-0 win over City to end Pep Guardiola's hopes of winning the quadruple.

The encouraging win was enough to book the west Londoners a place in the competition's finals where they will take on the winner between Leicester City and Southampton who square off in the other semi-final.

Chelsea are now firmly fighting for two trophies this season, including the Champions League where they are already through to the semi-finals.

However, despite recording significant improvement since Tuchel's arrival, the German tactician has warned his wards against looking too far ahead. Metro UK quoted Tuchel saying.

"In top-level football and top-level sports, you need to be ready to constantly go forward, to constantly progress.
"Me as a manager, we as a staff and in the end every player in this club needs to totally commit to this approach of sports at the highest level.
"This is what we do, this is what I demand of myself and this is what I demand of everybody in the staff and what I feel from everybody in the staff and the team."

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss insisted that his side's next big target is simply to win the next match.

Chelsea are scheduled to take on Brighton on Tuesday, April 20, at Stamford Bridge in a match they will be desperate to win in their push to seal a top-four finish.

They currently occupy fifth place on the standings with 54 points, but have a chance to leapfrog West Ham to fourth should they secure a favourable result against the Seagulls.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Sheffield United have officially been relegated from the Premier League following their defeat to Wolves on Saturday, April 17.

Willian Jose's 59th goal at Molineuxwas the only difference in the match, and the result meant Sheffield cannot mathematically survive even with six matches left to end the season.
