Kelechi Iheanacho stated that since he lost his mother, he has never been afraid of anything that comes his way, Daily Mail.

The Leicester City striker revealed that he was always scared of losing his mum Mercy, when she became sick while he was away with the Nigerian U17 team.

The 24-year-old celebrated his hat-trick he scored against Sheffield United as he dedicated them to his late mum which incidentally was on Mother's Day.

"I think about her every day.
"There is not a day I don’t remember her. I know she is in a good place now. It helps me to keep working hard every day and to keep going.
"My worst fear was to lose her. So there is nothing that could scare me any more in this life. So I just keep being who I am and I know she is behind me."

The Super Eagles forward has been in excellent scoring form in the past few weeks scoring nine goals in total.

The Nigerian striker scored a brace in the Foxes 3-2 loss to West Ham in the their last Premier League game at the London Stadium despite coming on as a substitute.

Iheanacho is expected to be on parade when Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to make history in the FA Cup as they face Southampton in their semi final clash at the Wembley Stadium.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Kelechi Iheanacho has signed a new deal with Leicester City that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until the summer of 2024.

The Nigerian international has been in superb form in the past few weeks as he scored seven goals in four matches.

The 24-year-old was named the Premier League Player for the Month of March following his goalscoring form for the Foxes in the past month.
