Nigerian music star, Crayon, has taken a moment to reminisce about the days when things were not entirely on the rosy side for his family members.

The singer in a post shared on his official Twitter page disclosed that his mother used to be a popular fruit seller around the Iyana Iba area of Lagos. He said people around the area knew her as Iya Carrot.

Crayon added that she sold the fruit on the same spot for a total of 19 years.

However, the singer said he managed to change things for the better after he signed a deal with Mavin Records in 2019.

His tweet read in part:

"She sold fruits for 19 years straight on the same spot with her small table and things. I changed all that after I signed my deal back in 2019! Now she chilling. Glory to God!"
