Musa had been without a club since he left Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr back in October 2020 and the former Leicester City forward was denied a move to Premier League side West Brom in January.

After he was officially confirmed as a Kano Pillars player, Musa said:

“I left Pillars over 10-years ago without winning the league then.
“But now, by God’s grace, I will make a special record by leading the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League title.”

Pillars have played 19 games so far with 36 points and are joint-top league leaders in the NPFL table with Kwara United who have a superior goal difference.

The Kano-based outfit have won 11 out of their 19 games, recording five losses in the process and three draws.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Patrick Pascal has given his stake on Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa who recently joined Nigerian Professional League side Kano Pillars.

The Nigerian international has been unable to seal a deal to a top club in Europe after his contract with Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr expired.

The 28-year-old has now rejoined his boyhood club Pillars for a short term in a bid to maintain his fitness level and return to Europe in the summer.

Pascal who was one of the few successful home-based players that broke into the national team among his foreign-based counterparts has lauded Musa's courage to return home to play for a local club.
