Stunning Video Shows Muslim Footballers Seen Breaking Their Fast for Ramadan During a Football Match

Some Muslim players observing their fast quickly took advantage of a stoppage time in the 11th minute to break during a Turkish second-division clash.

Four players of the Ankara Keciorengucu squad were seen eating dates and bananas right on the pitch after they overheard the call to prayer at sunset.

In a tweet via the beIN Sports Twitter handle, some players were shown kneeling on the floor eating, while their goalkeeper was sipping water.

The tweet read:

"When an injury occurred in the GZT Giresunspor-Ankara Keciorengucu coinciding with the call to prayer, the players broke their fast."

By Wednesday lunchtime the clip had been viewed over three million times on the social media platform.

During the month of Ramadan, which began on Monday, fasting Muslims do not eat or drink during daylight hours.

Typically those participating will eat a meal before sunrise, known as Suhoor, and again once the evening call to prayer has sounded at sunset, known as Iftar.

Also, Nigerian footballer Odion Ighalo has taken to social media to post awesome photo of himself dressing in Saudi Arabian regalia wishing Muslim faithfuls all over the world happy Ramadan.

Ramadan is a 30-day exercise being observed by many Muslims all over the world and it is once in every year.

The 2021 Ramadan started on April 13 and Odion Ighalo who is currently playing in Saudi Arabia dressed in an adorable regalia.

Since moving to the Saudi Arabian League after spending a year at Manchester United, Odion Ighalo has been impressive for the Al Shabab.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is now set to distribute rice to Nigeria Muslims in Jos and Kano state.

According to respected reporter Sammy Adesoji who is close to Ahmed Musa, he explained to Legit.ng that Ahmed Musa is a blessing to all Nigerians.

''This is not new because Ahmed Musa has always been doing this for people during Ramadan and even when there is no fasting.
''People of Jos and other places will enjoy the same treatment from Musa this year and I pray that may God continue to reward him for his good gesture."
