A 13-year-old boy, Gbolahan Ajibola, who was kidnapped by gunmen at the Ewekoro local government area of Ogun state has finally regained his freedom.

There were tears of joy and jubilation as the young boy was welcomed back home by members of his family who kept praising God for his release.

In a video that was shared on Twitter by @gistaroundyou, the boy was emotional as family members embraced him upon arrival.

Social media users also expressed joy over the teenager's release as they flooded the comment section to share their thoughts.

In a previous report by Legit.ng, a Navy personnel, AK Bala, who was abducted by some suspected gunmen on February 21, regained his freedom from his captors.

Legit.ng reports the good news was broken by the former Army spokesman, Col SK Usman, via his Twitter page on Thursday, April 9.

Usman said that Bala successfully disarmed one of the kidnappers, then used his weapon to kill two of them and escaped.

The tweeted:

"Good news, a brave Nigerian Navy personnel, Ak Bala, who was kidnapped sometimes (sic) on 24 Feb 21, on his way to Kebbi on leave, has successfully gained his freedom. He successfully disarmed one of the kidnappers, then used his weapon to kill two of them and escaped."
