Italian football manager Bruno Giordano has frowned at the amount Napoli paid for the signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen before joining them from Lille.

Victor Osimhen was banging in goals for Lille in France last two seasons which impressed those in charge of Napoli and rolled out €80 million to acquire the Nigeria international.

Bruno Giordano is now asking the rationale that made Napoli paid more money to buy Osimhen than the amount Dortmund offered to get the signature of Haaland.

Borussia Dortmund paid about €20 million to secure 20-year-old Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg during the same window.

And since the Norwegian player moved to Dortmund, he has been in incredible form for the German Bundesliga side.

According to the report on GOAL, Bruno Giordano explained that Napoli should have paid less money for the signing of Victor Osimhen.

"The price of an attacker depends on the market and the demands the player has.
"I don't know if the Nigerian is worth so much, I know that Haaland at Borussia cost less and so it is logical that the square should question itself given the high expectations surrounding Victor, who is only 22 years old.''

So far this term, Victor Osimhen has played 21 games for Napoli in all competitions and has managed to net four goals with two assists.
