Barcelona coach Koeman attacks Jurgen Klopp over serious dig against Real Madrid

Ronald Koeman who is the gaffer of Spanish giants Barcelona has jumped to the defense of his rival club Real Madrid over the comment made against their current stadium by Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool suffered a defeat against Real Madrid in the Champions League in which Jurgen Klopp was not happy about the ground used for the encounter.

Real Madrid had to use another ground because of the reconstruction going on at the Bernabeu which is expected to be completed soon before moving back to the stadium.

After the defeat suffered by Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp claimed that the return leg will be played at a proper venue which is the Anfield stadium.

Ahead of the El Clasico, Barcelona coach Koeman defended Zidane and his wards over the comment made by Jurgen Klopp.

"It’s disparaging to a big club like Madrid (to say it is a training pitch). They’ve chosen the time to do renovation works at their stadium and they’ve chosen well."

Liverpool who won the Champions League crown last two seasons are known for superb comeback in the competitions considering their records.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Jurgen Klopp who is the gaffer of reigning Premier League champions Liverpool blamed the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano stadium for his side's defeat against Real Madrid in Spain.

Liverpool who are known to be an excellent side in the Champions League suffered a 3-1 defeat in the first leg of their quarterfinal clash against the Spanish champions.

As things stand presently in the Premier League, Liverpool can no longer defend their title as Manchester City are favorites to be crowned champions.

But they are also on leg out of the Champions League following their defeat against Real Madrid although Mohamed Salah's away goal gave them hope.

Jurgen Klopp and his men will only need to beat Real Madrid 2-0 at Anfield for them to get qualification into the semifinal.

The 53-year-old explained that his players will have the chance the to flow their game properly when they tackle Los Blancos in the return leg of the Champions League.
