Man City star who recently signed new contract tops list of 10 most paid Premier League stars

Manchester City attacker Kevin de Bruyne tops the Premier League highest earners table with a staggering £385k-a-week deal.

The Belgian signed a new five-year contract extension earlier this week having originally joined them from Wolfsburg in 2015.

After spending six years at the Etihad Stadium, the 29-year-old has already won two EPL titles including four EFL Cups, one FA Cup, and a Community Shield.

Embattled Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea comes second on the shortlist with just £10,000 short of De Bruyne's take home as reported by SunSport.

The Spaniard is tied to the Red Devils until the summer of 2023 but the Old Trafford might be planning to offload him at the end of this season to reduce their wage bill.

De Gea currently earns £375k on a weekly basis at his present club - the highest earner at United but his number one status is threatened by the emergence of Dean Henderson.

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the most paid stars in the English topflight as he comes third on the list with a staggering £350k deal a week.

His deal with the Gunners will not expire until 2023 and he has been linked with a few clubs in top European leagues.

Gareth Bale - Real Madrid reject is the number four most player in the EPL as the Welshman gets £325k weekly. He is currently on loan at his former club Tottenham Hotspur.

Kai Havertz only moved to England last summer but his handlers were able to negotiate a good deal for the German who wraps up the top five earners in the EPL.

The 21-year-old attacker is paid a whooping £310k by Chelsea every week while Man City winger Raheem Sterling comes close with a weekly earning of £310k.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester City fans have all been sent into jubilation moods following the club's announcement that superb midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has signed a new two-year deal at the Etihad stadium.

The Belgian has established himself as one of the best creative midfielders in the world considering his performances for the Citizens.

De Bruyne has spent five years plus at the Etihad stadium and there have been speculation over his future at the current Premier League leaders.
