Juventus and Napoli played their respective outstanding matches against each other which ended in a 2-1 win in favour of the champions.

The usual suspect Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala scored the goals for Juve to seal the hard-earned win for under pressure Andrea Pirlo's side as Lorenzo Isigne was on target for the visitors.

Ronaldo squandered a glorious chance after missing a header from a pin-point cross from Federico Chiesa early in the tie.

Minutes later, a brilliant individual move from Chiesa opened up space for Ronaldo to hit home his first-time cross after just 13th minutes. 1-0 it was.

Victor Osimhen was brought into the game in the 54th minute and immediately had two scoring opportunities within the space of two minutes.

The Nigerian international first played a one-two with Isigne but volleyed his effort off target. The 23-year-old also forced a brilliant save from Gianluigi Buffon moments later.

But substitute Dybala who was making his return from injury since January was clinical with his touch inside the box as he beat Alex Meret in goal to make it 2-0.

Osimhen won Napoli a penalty in the 89th minute after Giorgio Chiellini collided with Super Eagles forward. Insigne converted the resulting spot-kick as it ended 2-1.

Pirlo's saved his job and will be hoping to build on the win after his team moved to third on the league table but are 12 points behind leaders Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Juventus played out a 2-2 draw with Torino in an entertaining Serie A fixture played at the Stadio Olimpico Grande.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the equalizer after Antonio Sanabria brace had canceled Federico Chiesa's lead and put his side ahead.

The Biaconeri got their noses in the 13th minute after Chiesa bulldozed his way into the Torino defence and tucked away his shot to make it 1-0.
