Nigerian attacker Kelechi Iheanacho has been nominated for the Fans' Player of the Month award for the month of March.
The 24-year-old scored five goals in three Premier League appearances for Leicester City in the month under review.
This earned him his first-ever EPL player of the month award - beating the likes of Harry Kane and a few others to the prize.
Iheanacho got the month started with a goal during the Foxes' 1-1 draw against Burnley at Turf Moor on March 3rd.
He went ahead to score another stunning goal to help Leicester claim maximum points against Brighton & Hove Albion a week later.
Kelechi's final EPL game in the third month saw him produce an impressive performance and ended up scoring his first career hat-trick against Sheffield United.
Other players contending for the same prize are Luke Shaw (Manchester United), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal), Jesse Lingard (West Ham United), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), and Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City).
With five goals from three games, Iheanacho really stands a huge chance to clinch the award for the outgone month.
The Nigeria international has scored 12 goals and five assists in 29 appearances for the King Power Stadium outfit so far this campaign.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Kelechi Iheanacho has signed a new deal with Leicester City that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until the summer of 2024.
The Nigerian international has been in superb form in the past few weeks as he scored seven goals in four matches.
The 24-year-old was named the Premier League Player for the Month of March following his goalscoring form for the Foxes in the past month.
