Do your job: You’re not Elected to Complain of Ex-Leaders, CAN Tells Buhari

In a message that will anger members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria has berated Muhammadu Buhari over the state of the country.
According to Samson Ayokunle, during the Holy Convocation organised by the Victory Life Bible Church argued that the insecurity afflicting the country was caused by Buhari's negligence, Punch reports.

He said this while speaking on the theme of the convocation, ‘The state of the nation: The way forward’.
Going further, Ayokunle said criminals in the country are being more professional than various security outfits in Nigeria.
He said:
“We put you there to secure the nation; we didn’t put you there to be complaining about bad leaders.
He argued that Nigerians knew that the past leaders were there before electing him to fix things up.
In another development, Legit.ng had reported that Ayokunle opined that the federal government has run out of workable ideas on how to end insecurity in the country.
Ayokunle stated that what the government can give Nigerians, for now, are mere assurance and promise.
Ayokunle made this comment on Sunday, March 28, during a thanksgiving service (monitored by Punch) in honour of Bishop Wale Oke, the newly elected president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Meanwhile, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and a prominent religious leader in the north, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, have released a joint statement after their closed-door meeting on Sunday, April 4, in Abeokuta.
In a statement sent to Legit.ng, the Nigerian leaders recommended special courts to try bandits, kidnappers and anyone caught carrying arms illegally.
Legit.ng gathers that they also urged the federal government to take the issue of insecurity up with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
