Reality Star Kim Kardashian officially Joins World's Billionaires List for the first Time

Congratulations are in order for American reality TV star Kim Kardashian as she officially joins the World’s Billionaires list for the first time.

According to Forbes, Kim is now worth N410bn ($1bn), up from her former net worth estimate of N319bn ($780m).

It was reported that the 40-year-old woman made the billionaire list because of two of her last business ventures, KKW Beauty and Skims, as well as cash from reality television and endorsement deals, and a number of smaller investments.

Kim founded KKW Beauty in 2017 and sold 20% of the business in 2020 for a whooping sum of N82bn ($200 million), a deal that reportedly valued the company at N410bn ($1bn).

It was noted that her remaining 72% stake in the company is worth around N205bn ($500m).

In 2019, Kim launched Skims, a shape, and loungewear for women. The mother of four is said to own a major stake in the company which Forbes values at N205bn ($500m).

Besides her growing businesses, Forbes reported that Kim also has earned at least $10 million pretax from her reality show since 2012.

Forbes, however, noted:

"But it’s the companies that she has launched herself, and grown with the typical Kardashian flare for self-promotion, that land her on the World’s Billionaires list."

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that a lady who loves attention spent millions to look like Kim Kardashian.

The young woman who is a London influencer, Chaly DN said that she believed that the reality star is the most beautiful woman in the world.

Chaly said she has spent millions on dressing like the star and purchasing almost every designer item the star owns.

According to a News24 article, Chaly has even bought a faux fur coat worth N11.5 million and has also spent about N227.6 million on designer bags.
