Bruno Fernandes has been left furious at Brighton defender Joel Veltman who he claimed almost broke his leg during Man United's 2-1 win over Brighton at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese provided the assist for Marcus Rashford's equalizer two minutes after the hour mark which canceled out Danny Welbeck's opening goal.

Fernandes was taken out by Veltman just after delivering the decisive pass to Rashford at the edge of the 18-yard box.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Man United recorded a hard-earned win over Brighton in a tense Premier League fixture played at Old Trafford.

Danny Welbeck put Brighton ahead but second-half goals from Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood ensured the Red Devils grabbed all three points.

The Seagulls took the lead through a familiar foe Welbeck he went in with a near-post header from a loose ball in the 13th minute to make it 1-0.

Legit.ng had also reported that Bruno Fernandes has leapt to the defence of his countryman Cristiano Ronaldo who has been heavily criticised following Juventus’ early exit from the Champions League.

Despite playing 10 men for over an hour, Juve failed to get the needed results for them to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

The Italian press is upset with Cristiano Ronaldo saying he betrayed his teammates following his performance that saw Juventus get knocked out of the Champions League by FC Porto.
