A man identified as @Chuka_emordi has taken to Twitter to call for the end of misogyny. Chuka made this call as he narrated a personal experience.
In a series of posts, the young man revealed that N300k was paid for her sister's bride price but his mum only got the sum of N5k.
According to him, the remaining N295k was shared by the elders. Chuka noted that he now understands what misogyny means.

The young man went on to reveal that the elders were calling his sister their child. According to him, he had never seen them in his life up until the day his sister's bride price was paid.
Chuka stated that misogyny needs to be dismantled. He noted that if his mother had collected more, he would have gotten some money from her.

Unfortunately for the young man, being a male didn't even count as he didn't get anything. He said he is scared about asking for his share so that he is not sent to an evil forest.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerians reacted after a man shared the traditional marriage list he received from his in-laws.
The young man identified as @ekibyleo said he just told his in-law that he wanted to marry but he was given a bill of N1.1m.
The list which amounted to N1,187,800 had several requirements including bush meat worth N20,000, cigarettes worth N10,000, neck jewellery for the mother-in-law worth N120,000 among other things.
Several people reacted to the post and they tagged the list as ridiculous. Many said they could not comprehend why the things listed were so expensive.
