A smart young Nigerian lady, Adeosun Goodness Taiye, is making waves as a shoemaker despite being a 400-level dentistry student at the University of Ibadan (UI).

Speaking with Daily Trust, she said she started making shoes in 2018 after she just sat her Cambridge A levels and was quite bored at home.

After gaining admission into UI as a 200-level student and showcasing her pieces, her classmates loved her work and they asked her to make for them.

The man advised her to complete the shoe process, showing her the materials she would need for everything. Within days, the dentistry student did it.

She never stopped there as she leveraged the power of the internet to better her craft. To ease off work, the lady employed a man with over 25 years of experience to work for her.

When she was asked if she would abandon the craft after school, the lady replied:

“I will probably abandon the medical school and pursue shoe-making because it will bring more money compared to the stipend they pay Doctors in Nigeria. I just want to have the certificate, honestly speaking. I would have just left it but I feel people will respect you more when you have a certificate.”
