Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe on his players after they conceded a late goal away at Newcastle United which allowed the Magpies grab a point at the St. James’ Park.

Spurs were 2-1 ahead away from home and would have moved into fourth position on the Premier League standings, only for Joe Willock to grab a point for the hosts late in the game.

And that goal seems to have infuriated Tottenham boss Mourinho who lamented that his side needed to have won the game. The game ended 2-2.

Three points in the encounter would see Spurs move above Chelsea on the standings but Willocks’s striker got Mourinho blasting his players.

The Portuguese told BBC Radio Five Live after the match as cited in Mirror:

"I am frustrated. We needed to win the match and we came to win. We were not far from winning it but, at the same time, we created some instability on the game with so many individual defensive mistakes that we made.
"We always gave Newcastle a chance to be in the game. Of course, we had the biggest chance of the game to make it 3-1 and kill it, then we concede a game the next minute."
