Amid speculation that Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland could potentially move to the La Liga, reports have it that the player’s father and agent have arrived Spain.

The 20-year-old is now the most sought-after striker across the European continent following his 49 goals and several assists since arriving from RB Salzburg.

Premier League clubs Manchester United, Manchester City as well as Chelsea are chasing the player who has been tipped to become a great player in future.

However, it seems Barcelona have taken the lead in the chase of the striker as it is reported that President Joan Laporta’s assistant has picked up the player’s agent and father at the airport as they arrive for a discussion over possible £154million move.

Raiola and Haaland Snr. flew in from Nice at 9:30, before holding a two-hour meeting with Laporta and Barca's new director of football Mateu Alemany, who sold the club and next season's project to Haaland's representatives.

According to a video as reported by Spanish outlet SPORT via Daily Mail, Raiola and Haaland Snr. were seen arriving Catalonia earlier on Thursday, April 1.

New Barca president Laporta's priority is to sign the Norwegian forward this summer, with Dortmund valuing their star man at £154million.

The forward has a £65m release clause at Dortmund which only comes into effect in 2022, but he he could leave this summer as Dortmund struggle to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pep Guariola has expressed deep concern over the imminent departure of club legend Sergio Aguero who leaves at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old joined the Citizens from Atletico Madrid in a deal around €40 million in 2011 and he rose to become the club's highest goals scorer within a decade.

He scored a staggering 257 goals and 73 assists in 384 appearances across competitions for the Etihad Stadium outfit.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Bayern Munich star David Alaba has reportedly turned down an offer to join Premier League club, Chelsea, as the Blues are hoping to sign him this summer.

The versatile defender earlier confirmed that he would be leaving the Bundesliga giants when his contract expires at the end of the season.

But there are several clubs in Europe jostling for the player’s signature as he can now agree to pre-contract talks with any of his suitors.
