Former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has landed his first professional coaching job after being appointed as the new head coach of Danish First Division giants HB Koge.

This is an incredible achievement for the 36-year-old who was one of the best defenders during his time in the Premier League with the Reds.

Daniel Agger was known for his superb and attacking styles of playing during his days at Liverpool even though his career in football ended the way he never wanted it.

According to the report on Daily Mail, Daniel Agger has signed a three-year deal with HB Koge and has been given the mandate to help the side to win titles.

Agger who played 175 games for Liverpool netting nine goals stated that he is very happy for his new appointment and vowed to do well for the club.

''I have been preparing for this day for a very long time. I feel like I stopped playing a few years too soon.
''Those years I have spent thinking about which way I would go in relation to football, and that is why I stand here today.''

Between 2006 and 2014 that Daniel Agger played for Livepool, he was able to win only two titles with the Reds which is Football League Cup in 2012 and FA Community Shield in 2006.

Liverpool are currently occupying seventh position on the Premier League table and Jurgen Klopp is under serious pressure to deliver.

The 28-year-old has recently been linked with a move to join Barcelona or their rivals Los Blancos after claims that he is looking for a fresh challenge.

Salah joined the Reds from AS Roma in 2017 and has helped them ended their 30 years wait for the Premier League last campaign.

The former Chelsea star was also instrumental to their Champions League triumph two seasons ago despite their failures in over a decade.

However, Liverpool's disappointing title defence and their struggles to make the top four this campaign has continued to spark the forward's exit rumours from Anfield.
