Sadiq Umar was on the score-sheet in Almeria’s 3-0 win over Malaga in the Spanish Segunda Division clash at the Estadio La Rosaleda on Tuesday night, March 30.

The Nigerian international who was prevented by the club from joining his team-mates for the AFCON qualifiers found the net about 13 minutes from the end following a Manu Morianes.

The 24-year-old has now scored 15 goals in 28 league appearances for Almeria this season.

And at the Estadio Santo Domingo, Kelechi Nwakali scored in Alcorcón’s 1-1 home draw against Real Oviedo.

The midfielder opened scoring for the hosts in the second minute. The goal was the 22-year-old’s first in nine league appearances for the club.

He was replaced by Hugo Fraile two minutes from time.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria had an easy 3-0 win over the Crocodiles of Lesotho in their final AFCON 2021 qualifying match at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Gernot Rohr's men had already qualified for the tournament but played for pride as the Nigerian national team return to Lagos after more than two decades.

Meanwhile, Nigerian star Semi Ajayi has stated that his Premier League club West Bromwich Albion will not relegate at the end of this season.

The Baggies are currently swimming in the relegation waters as they occupy the 19th position on the Premier League table with 18 points from 29 appearances.

West Brom have nine more games left to redeem their own image and remain in the English topflight next campaign.

With so many already written them off, Nigeria international Semi Ajayi believes they have got all it takes to turn their situation around.

So far this season, Sam Allardyce's men have only won three of the 29 games they have played, with 17 ending in losses and nine were drawn.

Legit.ng earlier reported that there was mild drama at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos after a pitch invader jumped a barricade in his attempt to celebrate Super Eagles' first goal against Lesotho.

Nigeria took the lead in the 23rd minute of the dead-rubber game when striker Victor Osimhen beat the Crocodiles' defense to flick home the opener.

And as Nigerian team celebrated at the far corner, a pitch-invader beat the number of security personnel and raced unto the pitch to celebrate the goal
