Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has disclosed that Chelsea's ability to buy top players in the world made it difficult for him to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge.

No doubt about the fact that Chelsea are among the best teams in the Premier League considering their achievements most especially since when Roman Abramovich bought the Blues.

Kenneth Omeruo joined the Stamford Bridge landlords during the 2012 transfer window after his impressive performances at Standard Liege which paved ways for to London.

But immediately Chelsea signed Kenneth Omeruo, the Blues loaned him out to ADO Den Haag where he played 36 games netting two goals before he left the side.

After leaving ADO Den Haag, Kenneth Omeruo made a return to England where he joined Middlesbrough on loan from 2014-2015.

Despite being one of the best defenders in the world, Kenneth Omeruo has never played a game for Chelsea since 2012 and he is currently with Leganes.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Kenneth Omeruo explained that Chelsea's finance to buy top players prevented him from wearing the Blues' jersey on the pitch.

“I think it’s quite difficult (to play for the first team), mostly because Chelsea is a massive club, who have the finance to buy the best players.
''And I think from a market strategy it makes more sense to buy a player from Juventus, who has been hyped
“But, sometimes it’s not about the quality like I have been consistent with the National team since 2013, which means I must be doing something good. Aina (Ola) left Chelsea, went to Torino, He was bought back – to Fulham in the premiership.''
