Daily Trust quoted him as saying:

“As far as the issue of national integration is concerned, all Nigerians must be born again.”

Dignitaries such as President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, state governors and the President of Liberia, George Weah, joined the programme via zoom.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that despite his efforts in organising the event, Osinbajo attended the event virtually from the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to Laolu Akande, senior special assistant, media and publicity to the VP, the change of plans was caused by bad weather.

Speaking at the event, VP Osinbajo advised those advocating for Nigeria's break-up to have a rethink.

He said if Nigeria does break, people may need visas to travel to places like Kano, stressing that Nigeria breaking into small components is not good for the nation.
