Super Eagles finished as third best at the 2019 African Cup of Nations held in Egypt.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Paul Onuachu scored his first competitive goal for Nigeria in their Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier victory over Benin Republic in Porto Novo over the weekend.

The Genk forward made a bold move by jumping over the Squirrels' defenders to head a rebound into the back of the net to give the Super Eagles maximum points away from home.

His goal ensured the three-time AFCON kings bounced back to winning ways after back-to-back draws against Sierra Leone last November.

However, after his goal a few days ago, the 26-year-old has grown hungry to score more for the country's national team.

Onuachu scored his first-ever goal for the country in an international friendly game against Egypt in March 2019.
