Former Super Eagles star Nduka Ugbade has told advised Gernot Rohr and his wards to take their next game against Lesotho on Tuesday, March 30, with all seriousness.
Already, the Super Eagles have qualified for the 2022 African Cup of Nations which will hold in Cameroon following their win against Benin Republic in Cotonou.
Paul Onuachu who has been superb this season for Genk in the Belgian League scored the winning goal for Super Eagles against Benin.
He is expected to start for the Super Eagles on Tuesday evening, March 30, in their encounter against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun stadium.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Nduka Ugbade who played 11 games for the Super Eagles stated that there are no minors again in the game of football.
“There are no longer minors in football, so, Lesotho shouldn’t be counted as an underdog.
”As a team, all they need to do is complete their record by beating them (Lesotho) because this will place Nigeria high on the FIFA rankings. They should not joke with Lesotho and be complacent, we should look at what happened against sierra Leone.
“The best team should be arranged, other players should be given opportunity to play and we should beat Lesotho very well to send message to others.”
Super Eagles finished as third best at the 2019 African Cup of Nations held in Egypt.
