Nigeria’s Democracy Cannot be Complete Without Jagaban, Nigerian governor declares

The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said that Nigeria’s democracy cannot be told without the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Daily Trust reports that Sanwo-Olu made this known in a statement to celebrate Tinubu as he turns 69 on Monday, March 29.

According to the governor, Tinubu has contributed to the development of Nigeria in no small measure, adding that thousands are today direct beneficiaries of his political acts of kindness.

He went on to describe the former governor as a cheerful giver, visionary leader, and rare mentor with exceptional abilities, The Cable reports.

While noting that Tinubu left impeccable records in Lagos state after setting the right template for economic growth and political stability when he was the governor, Sanwo-Olu said the APC leader is a political pathfinder, nationalist and detribalised Nigerian.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that President Muhammadu Buhari felicitated with Tinubu on the occasion of his 69th birthday.

Buhari conveyed his heartfelt wishes to his political ally in a message signed by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu on Sunday, March 28.

Buhari affirmed that the former governor has inspired many leaders and continues to nurture talents for the benefit of the country.

In a related development, President Buhari will chair the colloquium to celebrate the 69th birthday of Tinubu.

The Nigerian leader will preside virtually over the event which is being organised by the office of the vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo.
