After her long absence in Aso Rock, Aisha Buhari takes bold step for Nigerians, photos emerge

- A lot of Nigerian women and youths are now beneficiaries of an empowerment scheme initiated by Aisha Buhari

It seems that Aisha Buhari, came back from Dubai with a lot of goodies at heart for fellow citizens, especially the female folks.

At an event held on Thursday, March 25, the first lady empowered women and youths with sewing, knitting machines, and agricultural irrigation equipment entrepreneurship opportunities.

The initiative was conceived by the office of Aisha and started before the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president's wife called for more intervention schemes for women and youth from both the federal governments and private organisations individuals.

She went on to state that the skills-gap training ought to be complemented with a start-up kit.

Earlier, Aisha was reported to have returned to Nigeria after spending six months in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Legit.ng gathered that sources told the newspaper that the president's wife, who quietly relocated abroad after Hanan, one of her daughters, got married in September 2020, is currently at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The report noted that she was said to have returned to the country on the night of Wednesday, March 17.

There were concerns over her whereabouts during the long absence but the presidency avoided making comments on the issue.

One of Hajiya Aisha’s aides, Kabiru Dodo, finally opened up on the current absence in Jalingo, Taraba state capital, in December 2020.
