The story in full goes thus:

"Late last night Myles went on and on about how he had to be twins with a boy in his class for Twin Day because they look exactly the same - same eyes; same hair."
"He was adamant that they were identical. So after the kids went to bed, I headed to Walmart at 9pm to get matching outfits."
"Their teacher sent me this picture today. My heart melted. Obviously two very different children, but Myles didn’t see that."

The originator of the story, one Ann Marie A. Swift, thought:

"Wouldn’t the world be such a better place if we could all view it through the eyes of a couple 5 year olds?"

The story warmed many hearts on Linkedln.

"My daughter is 4 and doesn't yet 'see' colour - I'm keeping that as long as I can. When I describe someone I say, lady with the black hair, or the man with glasses instead of the most obvious. I'm trying to do this myself. She will see it one day, but for now. I LOVE THIS !!"

Andrea Keetch said:

"As a child born in the 60’s, I can’t ever remember thinking that the colour of my classmates skin differentiated them from me. Children are not born racist it is sadly taught, this post has absolutely made my day."

Kelly Shipley Spence commented:

"And, this is exactly why I love working with my little ones...their hearts are pure and free from the "poison" of racism and labels. They simply see straight to the soul and character of one another. This is beautiful."
