The source who pleaded anonymity said:

“Preparations are on top gear for the grand event. As the tradition provides, the parents of the groom have met with the parents of the bride to express Yusuf’s interest in marrying Zahra.”

It was also revealed that the nuptials would have already taken place if not for the first lady, Aisha Buhari’s six-month trip to Dubai.

PM News also reported the source further explained that due to Aisha’s return to Nigeria a few weeks to Ramadan, the wedding would probably take place after the sallah celebration.

Zahra Bayero is currently studying architecture at a university in the United Kingdom while Yusuf graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford, also in the UK in 2016.
