English professional footballer Danny Ings who currently plays for Southampton has reportedly emerged as the main transfer target for Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Manchester City have been in superb form this season in the Premier League, and Pep Guardiola and his wards have even been tipped to be crowned champions.
However, Pep Guardiola and his chiefs at the Etihad are still looking for reinforcements in their squad so as for them to do well next season.
Danny Ings is entering the final year of his contract at Southampton and Manchester City are ready to go for his signature.
According to the report on UK Sun, Manchester City are planning to sign Danny Ings as a replacement for Argentine striker Sergio Aguero.
There has been speculation surrounding the future of Sergio Aguero at Manchester City with the super striker being linked with a move to Spain.
So far this season in the English topflight, Sergio Aguero has played 14 games and the Argentine has managed to score three goals.
The Citizens have also been linked with a move to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Haaland although they will have to offer the German club big money for a chance.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan joined the race to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero whose contract at the Etihad stadium will expire in the coming summer.
Sergio Aguero is no doubt one of the best strikers in the world considering his high sense of scoring goal for his club and also in the national team.
According to the report, Manchester City chiefs have not communicated with Sergio Aguero over a new deal which has made him a target for many European giants.
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are also said to be interested in the signing of the Argentine superstar.
The 32-year-old wants to make up for the lost time after spending months sidelined with an injury and then coronavirus.
