This means that the Citizens have reached the last four of the competition three years running for the first time since 1932 as reported by Sky Sports.

However, the two most in-form teams in the Premier League this year will now face-off for a place in the final of the competition on the weekend of April 17.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho will hope to maintain his superb goals scoring form in the competition as he will most likely lead his club's attack when the Foxes battle Southampton next month.

The Nigerian orchestrated Manchester United's ouster at the quarterfinal stage after scoring twice to help Leicester reach a 3-1 victory over their guests.

Winners of both semifinals will square up at the Wembley Stadium on May 15 for a chance to lift the trophy at the end of this season.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian star Kelechi Iheanacho equalled Cristiano Ronaldo's 13 goals FA Cup record after netting twice in Leicester City's 3-1 win over Manchester United in the quarterfinal of the competition.

The 24-year-old opened the scoring for the hosts in the 24th minute but Mason Greenwood's 38th-minute equaliser cancelled out the opener.

Youri Tielemans restored the Foxes' leadership seven minutes into the second half while the Super Eagles attacker completed his double in the 78th minute of the meeting.
