A lawmaker in the United States identified as Congressman Jamaal Bowman has taken to social media to share his experience while growing up.

Jamaal, who is serving as the US representative for New York's 16th congressional district, said he was beaten by police officers and suspended from school.

According to the lawmaker, one of his assistant principals in school told him to go to hell. He made the disclosure after presiding over the United States House of Representatives.

In a similar news, a Nigerian man identified as Taylor on Instagram shared his horrific experience with officers of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), and how what should have been a blissful holiday for him was completely ruined.

The individual, who was based in the US, came home to spend the holidays in Nigeria and he had a first-hand experience of police brutality in Lagos, on Monday, January 6, 2020, on his way back home from the beach.

Taylor recounted how he and his friends were stopped in the car conveying them by policemen. He said the officers dragged everyone out of the car without giving any reason as to why they had been stopped.
