English clubs Manchester United and Arsenal were handed tough opponents in the Europa League quarter-final in a draw simulation by UK outlet SunSport.

Both Premier League teams reached the quarter-final of the competition after securing victories on Thursday night, March 18.

United progressed, following a 2-1 aggregate win over Italian giants AC Milan while Arsenal edged Olympiacos 3-2 on aggregates.

And SunSport made a simulated draw for the quarter-final after the qualified eight teams were confirmed.

According to the online tournament simulator randomresult.com, the prediction paired teams into mouthwatering fixtures.

The most exciting of which saw the Red Devils and the Gunners drawn against Ajax and Roma respectively.

United last played the Dutch champions in the 2017 Europa League final at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, which they won 2-0.

Arsenal, meanwhile, last locked horns with Roma competitively in the last-16 of their 2008-09 Champions League campaign.

However, Spurs failed to progress into the last eight and Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho made way into Dinamo Zahreb’s locker room shortly after the Croatian team knocked his Tottenham team out of the Europa League.

Mourinho’s side squandered a 2-0 goal advantage salvaged in the first leg of the tie played in London last week to exit the tournament.

Mislav Orsic emerged match hero during the encounter, scoring a stunning hat-trick to help Zagreb book a place in the quarter-finals of the European competition on a 3-2 goal aggregate.

Despite the loss, Jose Mourinho walked into the opposition’s dressing room to applaud them over the victory.

The Portuguese tactician congratulated their opponents as he clapped for them before he headed for the post-match conference where he expressed disappointment.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has sent a strong warning to potential Champions League quarter-final opponents saying “no one wants to play us”.

The manager saw his side cruise to the last-eight of the competition following a 3-0 aggregate win over Spanish club Atletico Madrid.

A goal each from Hakim Ziyech and Emerson were all the Blues needed in the second-leg of their last-16 encounter at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, March 17.
