Lionel Messi was said to have snapped at Barcelona fans who tried filming him while leaving the training complex.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner met a lot of supporters with various types of cameras on his way home and having encountered the same situation time and time again, he finally lost his cool.

One of the clips that surfaced online shows the Argentine wearing his training kit and confronting the gathered fans hoping to get a glimpse of their hero, saying:

"Why do you keep filming the same video if you have already done this many times? They've already made a lot of videos. You can't spend all day here. Do you think it's normal doing the same every time? Stop."

SunSport reports that the supporters were later seen apologising to the 33-year-old while stepping back from where they stood trying to catch a glimpse of the forward driving away from the complex.

Meanwhile, Messi's current deal with Barcelona is due to expire this summer and it is left to be seen if he would sign an extension to remain at Camp Nou next term.

The four-time Champions League winner tried to force an exit last summer before a dramatic U-turn to honour his contract at the Nou Camp.

But public snaps like this incident clearly suggest he is still not fully happy and that is putting Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain on red alert.

However, this might not be the first time Barca players have lost their cool with the fans for similar antics. Neto and Samuel Umtiti have both raised complaints.

And Antoine Griezmann was targeted in November, as furious fans told the Frenchman to show Messi more respect.

The team were knocked out of the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

However, they do have the chance to leapfrog Real Madrid into second and move within four points of LaLiga leaders Atletico when they face Huesca tonight.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Barcelona legend Rivaldo has urged his former club to swallow their pride and sign influential Real Madrid defender this summer.

The 34-year-old will be a free agent when his current deal with Los Blancos expires at the end of this season.

Although the La Liga defending champions are doing all they can to tie the Spaniard down for a few more years, the player seems ready for a fresh challenge elsewhere.
