Sanwo-Olu, Ganduje, and other governors that have received AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine
- Many governors have now received the coronavirus vaccine
- This is done in efforts to assure their people that the jabs are safe and have no consequences

In a bid to assure Nigerians of the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines, some governors have publicly received the AstraZeneca jabs.
Ogun state governor Dapo Abiodun became the first governor to receive the jab. This came after President Muhamadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo received the vaccine.
Among other governors that have received the vaccine are: Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa.

Others are Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa, Gboyega Oyetola of Osun, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara.

Meanwhile, Legit.n had reported that Delta state government on Friday, March 12 commenced the vaccination of its citizens against COVID-19, with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, his wife, Edith, and members of the state’s Executive Council taking their turns.
A photo of Governor Okowa placing his hand on his wife's shoulder as she took the jab has also generated reactions on social media.
The Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, president of the Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Patience Elumeze, and health workers were also vaccinated in the exercise which was held at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Asaba.
In nother report, the United Nations (UN) has launched a new global campaign, Only Together, to support its call for fair and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines around the world.
UN in a statement sent to Legit.ng disclosed that the campaign stresses the need for coordinated global action to ensure vaccines are accessible in all countries, starting with health-care workers and the most vulnerable.
